The participants of the tour will visit planners of biogas plants, manufacturers of components and biogas plants as well as biogas plants with new or ground-breaking concepts or technology in Germany.

The tour will cover the following topics:

• farm scale biogas plants with energy crops, grass, poultry manure, cow /pig manure, food and industrial waste
• heat utilisation
• lagoon technology
• extruder technology
• dry fermentation of communal organic waste
• biogas upgrading for injection in gas grid or use as vehicle fuel
• solid biomass feeding
• digestate treatment etc.

The tour will end on 30 September 2010 in Erfurt.

The Biogas Study Tour will be conducted in both German and English and includes sight seeing and cultural aspects.
