In partnership with REA Biogas it will be delivered by three German engineers from IBBK with many years of practical experience dealing with all sorts of AD plant with a wide range of feedstocks.  The engineers delivering the course content are specialists in understanding and optimising the complex biology, feedstock selection and operating parameters of AD plants - their teaching was the highlight of our week-long course, held in January this year (see reviews).

Trouble shooting: Practical monitoring of a biogas plant, Start up and shut down operation, In situ process control, Accidification and alcalosis, Inhibition factors, Process failures and safety considerations, Prevention of scums & sedimentation layers, Mixing & agitation effects, Plugged overflow & foaming prevention, gas quality (desulphurisation), residual gas potential
  2. Practical measures for process improvement through additives (Inhibition factors detection, Substrates as process stabilisors, Biological, mineral and chemical additives)
  3. Interactive session - Necessary laboratory tests & practical interpretation of operating modes using examples from practise.
